UNECA Continental Call for African AI Innovations 2026

The UN Economic Commission for Africa is inviting applications for its Continental Call for African AI Innovations. Selected solutions are showcased to policymakers, investors and partners at the ECA Innovation Café during the Africa Internet Governance Forum in Accra, Ghana, 2–5 November 2026.

Who can apply: African startups and technology companies, universities and research institutions, innovation hubs, private-sector organisations, public institutions, social enterprises, and individual innovators or teams. Applicants need a functioning prototype, pilot or deployed solution with evidence of development impact or credible potential for it.

Note: the ECA page does not state a closing date, and other listings give conflicting dates. With the event so close, the call may already have closed. Check the ECA page or contact the organisers before preparing an application.
