Supporting STISA 2034: SGCI Collaborative Research Call

About the Call

The Science Granting Councils Initiative (SGCI) has launched a collaborative research call supporting Africa's Science, Technology and Innovation Strategy for Africa 2024–2034 (STISA 2034).

The call funds collaborative, multi-country research projects across five priority areas:

• Health
• Agriculture
• Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies
• Energy
• Environment

Projects must demonstrate policy relevance, capacity strengthening, and inclusive development. Applications are accepted in English, French, or Portuguese, and researchers apply by submitting an Expression of Interest via the official call website.
