I am a biomedical researcher and emerging data science and AI practitioner working at the intersection of health research, precision medicine and digital innovation. As Acting Executive Director of PreciDIAB Océan Indien, I coordinate research projects, institutional partnerships and funding initiatives in NCDs, genomics and precision medicine. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Neuroscience and an MRes in Drug Sciences, and I am currently completing an MSc in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. My experience includes biomedical research, data analysis, machine learning projects using Python, statistical analysis and multidisciplinary project coordination. I am particularly interested in the responsible application of AI to clinical, biomedical and genomic data to support research, disease prevention and personalised healthcare in Mauritius and the wider Indian Ocean region.
